Where it started
Beachkit was born on a beach. Specifically, the kind of long, unhurried New Zealand summer beach day that stays with you for life — the sort that happens at Pauanui, where the water is clear, the shade matters, and nobody is in a hurry to go anywhere.
Founded in 2012, Beachkit was built on a simple belief: that the gear you bring to the beach should be as good as the day itself. Not disposable. Not generic. Designed with care, built to last, and worth every dollar. For over a decade, Beachkit supplied New Zealanders with premium beach umbrellas, chairs, and outdoor essentials — earning a reputation as one of NZ's most trusted names in coastal lifestyle products.
A new chapter
In 2025, Linda and Cindy took the helm — bringing with them a deep personal connection to the Kiwi beach lifestyle, a shared love of design-led products, and a clear vision for where Beachkit goes next.
Growing up in a beach environment they understand instinctively what makes a great beach day — and what makes a great beach product. That lived experience shapes every decision: what goes into the range, what gets cut, and what standard every product has to meet before it earns a place in the Beachkit collection.
What we're building
Beachkit is becoming New Zealand's home for the world's best coastal lifestyle products.
That means our own range — designed and sourced from leading manufacturers, refined season by season based on what New Zealand customers actually want. And it means bringing carefully selected international brands to New Zealand for the first time — brands we believe in, curated for this market, represented properly.
We're not a catalogue. We're not a clearance store. We're a curator. Every product in the Beachkit range has earned its place — on quality, on design, and on how well it fits the way New Zealanders actually live outdoors.

We carry a tight range deliberately. Every SKU is chosen with intention. We'd rather have fifteen products we believe in than ninety we're not sure about.
